Inside the ANIVIO & Friends Format

How an idea became a movement. On curation, real spaces and a community that puts respect over hype.

Inside the ANIVIO & Friends Format

ANIVIO + Friends isn't a line-up. It's a way of thinking about nights — from first sketch to the last hour on the floor.

How it starts

Usually with a voice note. Someone has an idea, a place, a track type in mind. That becomes a conversation, then a sketch, eventually a date. We don't plan from a distance — we build the night from the inside.

The crew

Three to five DJs who know and trust each other. Nobody just plays "their hour". Whoever is on takes responsibility for the whole room — for the energy they hand over and the energy they receive.

A set isn't your performance. It's your contribution to the night.

What carries the floor

Long transitions instead of fast cuts. Dramaturgy across the whole night, not just sixty minutes. And a sound that rewards patience: fewer drops, more pull. That only works when everyone is listening in the same direction.

In the end it's simple: we throw the kind of nights we want to dance at ourselves. With people we like. For a community that actually listens. We don't need more format than that.
